And the angel said unto them, "Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord."
(Luke 2:10,11)
These words spoken by the angelic messenger over 2,000 years ago are among the most comforting and reassuring words ever spoken on the planet.
The God who created the universe is the same God who sent His only begotten Son into the world to save us from the spiritual consequences of our sin.
Christmas is a wonderful reminder of just how much God loves us and the lengths that God is willing to go to rescue us!
In a world traumatized by tragedy and pain, the message of Christmas is a dramatic reminder of God's kind intention toward us all.
It is my prayer that this Christmas Day will give you an opportunity to embrace the Savior that came for you.
Enjoy the food and festivities of this Day! The joy of this day...Christmas Day...is all a part of God's kindness to you. Enjoy fully what God has given.
I like how Luke concludes his account of the birth of Christ. He writes, "...And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them." Let's go and do likewise! And that is what "Live the Red" is all about!
Merry Christmas!
